Empowering communities through secure and sustainable tech reuse
In collaboration with Tech-Takeback, a not-for-profit organisation providing secure and sustainable solutions for unwanted tech, SUEZ offers a Tech-Takeback service, designed to help businesses in the south-east of England to manage their unwanted electronic and data devices like phones and laptops in secure and responsible way that supports their environmental ambition and goals, while generating social value in the local community.
No business wants to be left behind, and speed of technological advancement, required tech upgrades and everchanging customer needs, mean that many businesses accumulate a significant number of old laptops, personal computers, smartphones, and tablets, in other words your “old IT equipment pile” is growing faster than ever before. Sounds familiar?
When these devices are no longer used or needed, they pose several challenges, including data security risks and environmental concerns.

Features of the Tech-Takeback service
Secure data
- Data protection: Our service ensures that all data is securely erased from your devices to UK Government standards, protecting your business from data breaches and cybercrime.
- Legal compliance: We help you comply with GDPR and the Data Protection Act, ensuring that your data handling practices meet statutory obligations.
Social value creation
- Digital inclusion: Donated devices support projects delivered to eliminate digital exclusion and improve digital literacy for vulnerable groups, including low-income individuals, the unemployed, the elderly, school leavers, and ex-offenders.
- Community support: Your contributions help bridge the digital divide, providing essential technology to those who need it most.
Simple solution
- Simple booking system: All you need to do is to gather your unwanted tech, fill in a call back form or call our team to arrange a suitable time and day for your collection.
- Convenient collection service: Our service runs independent of other scheduled collection services you may have with SUEZ. A dedicated collection vehicle picks up you unwanted tech at your premises.
Sustainable future
- Waste prevention: By reusing devices that would otherwise be disposed of as waste electronic electrical equipment (WEEE), we help you reduce electronic waste.
- Reduced greenhouse gas emissions: Extending the life of data devices reduces the need for extracting and processing natural resources, thereby lowering greenhouse gas emissions.
