Building on the strong momentum of previous years The Energy from Waste Conference 2026 is taking place on the 04 and 05 March in London. It aims to bring together an outstanding line-up of industry leaders, technical specialists, and pioneering developers for two days of cutting-edge insight and collaboration.
The agenda for this year’s discussion is ‘Decarbonising waste to energy, optimising resources - the essential business opportunity for the global waste to energy industry’.
This year, the Chief Executive Officer of SUEZ, Xavier Girre, will be joining our distinguished industry speakers Stuart Hayward-Higham and Dr Adam Read MBE for seminars and discussions.
Day one: 04 March
Xavier Girre, will be presenting the Keynote address on day one and sharing his insights on the future of waste and resources sector in a rapidly changing policy landscape.
Stuart Hayward-Higham, Chief Technical Development and Innovation Officer for SUEZ recycling and recovery UK will be joining the panel on ‘ETS carbon burden, waste and financial flows and cost pass through’.
He will also share his insights on ‘ETS - lessons learnt from MRV so far; areas for development and improvement; practicalities of implementation ’ in a post lunch session.
Dr. Adam Read, Chief External Affairs and Sustainability Officer for SUEZ recycling and recovery UK will be joining the session on ‘ETS - cost pass through: how will costs be allocated, where are the risks and what are the realistic mitigations?’ and participating in the discussion.
