Regulations and responsibilities
Whether selling or disposing of electrical and electronic equipment, everyone has a responsibility to do so in accordance with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations 2013.
Under these regulations, which seek to reduce the amount of waste going to landfill, householders have a duty to dispose of their electrical waste properly and organisations must ensure that all separately collected WEEE is treated and recycled.
