  • The Sustainability & Impact Summit 2026 is taking place on 14 July in London, with a key focus on what sustainable packaging looks like in practice. The agenda brings together experts in regulation, design, materials, recycling infrastructure, and carbon management, fostering honest discussions about costs, trade-offs, and delivering solutions at scale. Through a series of panel discussions and lightning talks, industry leaders will explore the decisions that will shape packaging strategies through to 2030.

     

    Dr Adam Read MBE, Chief Sustainability and External Affairs Officer for SUEZ in the UK, will join the panel discussion ‘Recycling Infrastructure, Waste Systems & Local Authority Alignment’. The session will examine UK recycling capacity gaps and investment priorities, the importance of consistent collection systems and public behaviour change, and the challenges of tackling contamination while aligning brand ambitions with the practical realities faced by local authorities.
