    The 2026 LARAC Conference and Celebration Awards will feature panel discussions, keynote speakers, real-world case studies and interactive sessions covering some of the sector's most pressing topics. Key themes include – what if the implementation of the consultations happened tomorrow, environmental action within local authorities, effective communication of service changes, and training and green skills, among many others.

     

    Dr Adam Read, Chief Sustainability and External Affairs Officer at SUEZ, will be joining Session Four: The Waste Hierarchy - Recover to share his expert insights in a presentation titled "The Journey of Landfill (Past, Present and Future)". Drawing on decades of industry experience, Dr Read will explore the evolving role of landfill in the UK's resource and waste management landscape, and what the future may hold for this critical part of the waste.
