  • Environmental Services and Solutions (ESS) Expo is the premier event for organisations advancing the circular economy, sustainability, biodiversity, and net-zero ambitions. 

     

    The event showcases the latest innovations and insights influencing environmental policy and resource management across the UK and Europe.

     

    This year’s programme focuses on the future of the environmental and resource management sector and the direction it is heading. From tackling critical workforce challenges and accelerating innovation to showcasing the technologies transforming day-to-day operations, the latest additions bring fresh perspectives, valuable insights, and new opportunities to the show floor.

    Day one – Wednesday 16 September

    • John Scanlon, EVP UK for SUEZ and the Chair for ESA (Environmental Services Association), will be joining senior executives from the UK waste sector at the panel discussion on the topic ‘Leading the UK Waste Sector: Strategy, Change and Future Direction’ 
    • Stuart Hayward-Higham, Chief Technical Development and Innovation Officer for SUEZ UK, will be sharing his insights on the topic ‘Digital Waste Tracking: What You Need to Know’ along with co-panellists
    • Dr Adam Read, Chief Sustainability and External Affairs Officer for SUEZ UK, will be joining the discussion on ‘Circularity in Practice: An initiative inspired by His Majesty The King’ 
    • John Wilkinson, Chief Development Officer for SUEZ UK will be sharing his expertise on ‘Simpler Recycling for Households: Six Months of Change, Challenges and Early Lessons
    • John Wrigley, UK Managing Director Municipal Services, SUEZ UK will be sharing his thoughts on the topic, ‘The Big 5 in Collections’, explore the evolving landscape of waste collection services
    • Alan Colledge, Technical Director, SUEZ UK (Lithium Battery Recycling) will explore the challenges and opportunities associated with processing Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), and discuss ‘The Challenges of Processing WEEE Waste and Extracting Critical Minerals’ 

    Day two – Thursday 17 September

    • Andrew Hughes, Landfill & Alternative Energy Director, SUEZ UK will be joining the panel discussion on ‘ETS Expansion and Evolution: What's Next for Carbon Pricing?’, navigating the direction of the Emissions Trading Scheme and the implications of its expansion for industry, energy, and resource management sectors
    • Dr Adam Read MBE, Chief Sustainability and External Affairs Officer for SUEZ UK will be sharing his insights and thoughts on ‘How to Disrupt Your Way to a Circular Economy’, exploring how disruption, innovation, and bold thinking can accelerate the transition to a circular economy.
