SUEZ launches annual #recycle4christmas social media campaign

Last year, households in the UK sent 277,000 miles of wrapping paper to landfill after Christmas – that’s enough to reach 90% of the way to the moon!

While the festive period and all of the traditions that come with it can cause excessive waste, there are small actions we can take to have a more sustainable Christmas.

This week SUEZ launched the annual #recycle4christmas social media campaign. Now in its fourth year, the campaign aims to inspire residents to recycle more and to recycle correctly, helping to reduce contamination. Throughout December, SUEZ’s Twitter feed and Facebook page will be full of handy tips and advice on how to have a greener Christmas. Everyone is welcome to join this campaign and SUEZ made the social media graphics and posts available to local authority customers to help them engage with residents up and down the country.

Join the campaign on Twitter and Facebook, and remember to use #recycle4christmas on any of your own tips for a more sustainable Christmas.
