Carbon in a waste world

United Kingdom
From 09/03/2023 15:00:00 to 09/03/2023 16:00:00 local time
  • We are used to policy and metrics based on weight, however the need to measure our sector's services and outcomes in carbon is upon us. The drive for net zero means that we must measure the burden of management, and the emissions and benefits of the products we make in terms of their net carbon impacts. New policies are measured in their impact studies by material, cost and carbon, and therefore with the plethora of new policies in the mix in the next few years, their success or failure will also be measured in terms of carbon.

Measuring our scope one and two emissions is quite commonplace but defining and measuring our upstream and downstream scope 3 emissions is far more challenging. Accounting for and being recognised for the work we do and products we produce for society that avoid emissions elsewhere is a challenge.

Join our webinar to understand the drivers, linkages and measurements that are necessary to profile the carbon burdens and benefits in our sector, and what might be emerging through the multitude of policies and market changes which may see carbon become as fundamental to understanding in our sector as weight.
