SUEZ proud to support the success of Shelf Gala 2025
SUEZ provided free bins, a skip and disposal services, and a dedicated team of nine staff who worked throughout the day to litter-pick and keep the site clean and safe for families.
The Gala Committee commended the SUEZ team as “friendly and professional – and a real credit to the company” and thanked SUEZ for it’s “generous support and dedication to the community event, once again.”
Jonathan Kerry, Vice Chair of Shelf Gala Committee, said: “SUEZ’s support made a huge difference to the smooth running of the day. Their team worked tirelessly to keep the field clean and safe, and they were a pleasure to work with from start to finish.”
Gareth Richardson, Contract General Manager at SUEZ, said: “We’re proud to support Shelf Gala and to play our part in helping such a fantastic community event. It was amazing to see so many people enjoying themselves, and our team were pleased to help keep the site clean and welcoming throughout the day.”
Shelf Gala itself was alive with entertainment, featuring:
- Live music from The Slinkys, covering hits from the 1950s to today
- Arena performances from iD Academy of Performing Arts, Studio 59 Street Dance, and a live broadcast from Phoenix Radio 96.7FM
- Special appearances by Dinosaurs & Dragons, Band Baja and Creature Connections
The day included the traditional procession competition from Bethel Chapel parade along Halifax Road, vintage army vehicles, a Northern Militia re-enactment, and a wide variety of stalls, funfair rides, and refreshments including a Tea Tent run by Halifax Armed Forces Veterans.
SUEZ’s involvement in Shelf Gala forms part of our commitment to supporting the communities we serve, providing services that go beyond waste management to help events and local initiatives thrive.
