Earth Overshoot Day: our contribution to move the date

By July 29, we will enter a situation of ecological debt: our consumption of resources will exceed what the Earth can renew in a year.

This day, called Earth Overshoot Day, occurs earlier and earlier each year. However, halving our carbon footprint would allow us to move this date back by 93 days.

Alongside its industrial customers and local authorities, SUEZ is proud to contribute to reducing our resource consumption and building a carbon-free world:

  • by developing solutions to limit greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions through the circular economy
  • by doubling the recycling of plastics, a major economic and environmental issue
  • by limiting the carbon footprint of the Group's activities in all the countries where it operates
